PERC Coffee:

IN THE SPRING OF 2010, PANTHER’S EYE ROASTING COMPANY WAS BORN. It quickly became clear we needed a shorter name. Luckily, the acronym PERC worked out great. Our first spot was in the cooler of the old Starland dairy. It was me, a roaster, and some tunes cranked up real loud. I'd roast some coffee, hop on my bike, and ride around offering folks samples. I also started slinging bags at the Forsyth Farmers Market and brewing pour-overs at local events, which helped me get to know the community. After a while, I started working with a handful of wholesale accounts, so I hired my first two employees - my mom and dad. As the business grew, I knew the team needed to grow. So I assembled a small, impassioned crew focused on a common goal: to roast and share dang good coffee. The bigger we got, the more walls of our little shop seemed to shrink around us. So we moved into a super cool old building on the East side. We dropped in a new roaster with more capacity. We also started PERCSHOP, a space where we could serve coffee, hold public cuppings, and engage with the community over coffee. After a few years, I began focussing on building PERC from a local favorite to a regional juggernaut. I knew I needed help. So, I partnered with the fantastic group of Alan Fischer, Taylor Kimball, and Amber Foreman. We came together like a coffee Voltron to take things to the next level. We started by opening retail shops in my hometown of Atlanta. We also added our Atlanta headquarters, which houses offices, a training space, and an interpretive dance studio - ok, not that last part :) We have big plans for the company’s future. But no matter where we go, we'll always be a bunch of down-to-earth coffee hustlers excited to share good times and awesome coffee with everyone we meet. Our tale is a story of passion, hard work, know-how, and grit. Most importantly, we've been lucky to have the support of so many amazing folks along the way. Thanks so much for checking us out. Y'all are the best - philip.

In the bustling city of Atlanta, there's a hidden gem that coffee enthusiasts can't get enough of. Introducing PERC Coffee, a local favorite that has quickly risen to regional fame with its delicious brews and down-to-earth vibes.

The story of PERC Coffee began in the spring of 2010, under the name Panther's Eye Roasting Company. However, as the business gained momentum, it became clear that a shorter name was needed. That's when the acronym PERC -- short for Panther's Eye Roasting Company -- came to the rescue. With a new name, the team set out to conquer the world of coffee, one sip at a time.

At first, PERC Coffee operated out of a humble spot in the cooler of an old Starland dairy. Picture this: a roaster, some tunes cranked up real loud, and the unmistakable aroma of freshly roasted coffee. Founder Philip, armed with a bike and bags of coffee samples, would hit the streets, offering folks a taste of his artisanal creations. It was an unconventional start, but it allowed him to connect with the community in a unique way.

As the business grew, so did the team. Philip knew that in order to fulfill their mission of sharing dang good coffee with everyone, he needed a passionate crew by his side. And that's exactly what he assembled. Together, they embarked on a journey to roast and share the best coffee they could create.

The walls of their cozy shop started closing in as the demand for their coffee grew. So, PERC Coffee made a bold move and relocated to a super cool old building on the East side. With the move came a new roaster, one with more capacity to meet the increasing demand. They also opened PERCSHOP, a dedicated space to serve coffee, host public cuppings (coffee tastings), and engage with the community over a cup of joe.

But PERC Coffee wasn't content with being just a local favorite. They had big dreams of becoming a regional juggernaut. To make that happen, they joined forces with an incredible group of individuals: Alan Fischer, Taylor Kimball, and Amber Foreman. Together, they formed a coffee Voltron, ready to take PERC to the next level.

Their first step was to expand beyond Atlanta. They opened retail shops in Philip's hometown and added an Atlanta headquarters. This headquarters not only houses offices and a training space but also includes room for interpretive dance—just kidding! It's a space dedicated solely to bettering their craft and ensuring every cup of PERC Coffee is nothing short of exceptional.

Looking to the future, PERC Coffee has big plans in store. But no matter how far they go, they will always remain true to their humble beginnings. They are a bunch of down-to-earth coffee hustlers determined to share good times and awesome coffee with everyone they meet.

It's not just their passion and hard work that have enabled PERC Coffee's success. They are also grateful for the support of their incredible customers—people like you who appreciate a great cup of coffee and a company committed to authenticity and quality.

So, whether you're a coffee aficionado or just someone in search of a great brew, make sure to check out PERC Coffee. Their journey is as inspiring as the aroma of their freshly roasted beans, and through their coffee, they invite you to be a part of their story.

Experience the love and dedication that goes into every cup. Visit their website at https://perccoffee.com and explore their wide selection of coffees, merchandise, and gear. Join the PERC Coffee community and embark on a coffee adventure like no other. Cheers to good times and amazing coffee!
