From the founder: It all comes down from my own approach to life- holding on to peace and good moments, and keeping life quiet and natural. This is why our products always have simplicity, practicality and a natural feeling at their core. OUR STORY It all started in 2016, when we moved from Paris to Angers. Angers is a small, quiet city by the side of the Manne River. That is where we opened our restaurant: DAZUMA. The name was inspired by a tour we did in New Zealand. "DAZUMA" (Mrs. Dazu) was the owner of the homestay where I rested. She also was my guide during the stay, and since she was so considerate, she would always treat me to her favorite local delicacy- smoked lamb shoulder ! Despite its intensely spicy flavor I loved the taste so much that it stayed with me even after my return to France! Thanks to her kind advice and wise guidance I finally opened my own restaurant named after DAZUMA, the one to give me that first taste of a smoked lamb shoulder that changed my life! I love my life, and doing what I love. I love sticking to my goals, and to my ideals; but I also like making changes. To top all that, I love sharing all this pleasures with different people. OUR PHILOSOPHY Other than cuisine, I am also interested in home design that fosters a calm lifestyle, brings peace of mind and keeps life quiet and natural. In the early 2020 I decided to bring my passion about food into home decor, and thus share my way of life with more people through my products. I decided to open an online store in retail, selling household goods. After 6 months of preparation, we finally had our supply chain settled. Instead of producing our products all by ourselves, we employ long-term design partners who share our philosophy and our goals. Our partners are from various countries all over the world including the Philippines, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand and New Zealand; and every single one of them is outstanding!
