We are a direct-to-customer grocery subscription service that supports livestock, local livelihoods and a living planet. Since day one we have been committed to championing local farmers and the very best artisan producers. We only work with independent British farmers who use extensive free-range farming systems. Every cut, catch and slice of artisan cheese is 100% traceable from our fields (or sea) to our customer’s fork, from a single cow on the Flower family farm to over 200 products and 20,000 households. We source every cut to order and work with whole carcasses to ensure that food waste is minimal. Any surplus meat that we do have is sent to FareShare South West, a Bristol-based charity which redistributes surplus food to over 150 charities, schools and community groups. We deliver fridge and freezer staples as well as the more unusual cuts you can’t find elsewhere, including Beef Neck on the Bone, Ribeye Bacon, Chicken Hearts and more. We pay our farmers above the market rate and have worked with many of our farmers for years, including our chicken farmer Stuart Perkins and our pig farmer Simon Price. Our cardboard boxes and ice packs are 100% recyclable, and we use DPD as our courier service who are CO2 neutral. We dry-age our prime cuts of beef for a minimum of 28 days and our lamb and pork for 5 days. We also offer a range of salt-aged hogget to support sheep farmers in the UK.
